We all know, if there is no visitor to our websites, they are not going to surive long.  Getting more website hits is also known as "Golden Nugget" in internet marketing terms. There are alwawys two options available, when talking about website traffic generation or getting more site visitors: Paid and free.

If  your budget is allowed, you can definietly use pay-per-cilck advertsing such as Google Adwords or Yahoo Sponsored Search, online classified ads sites such as cragilist and Ebay.com, various ezine marketing and email direct marketing (eDMs)

However, It's true that not all the webmasters have the budget on advertising, so they will ask a question, how do they get more visitors using only free strategies? One strategy that most webmasters will immidiately turn to is Search engine optimization or SEO. SEO will definietly helps you to get more traffic by applying certain website optimization rules on your website, but it generally takes at least three months to start seeing the resutls rolling in which consider a rather slow process when compares to other form of marketing that we use in the Internet today. Not only this, SEO invloves certain knowledge, skills and experience before one can truly master it and get an increase of traffic on their sites.

According to recent Technoratti statistic, (a popular blog search engines) that nowadays, we have around 70 million blogs today worldwide, and also people tends to spend more time and reading blogs earch day. Therefore you have no reason not to start blogging now. The other reason, why you want to start blogging today is search engine such as Google loves blogs. They tends to index them faster than a normal website and therefore your site will definitely get more visitors and more traffic!

After you have set up your blog, go and write a compelling article then submit it to popular, high

This is definitely a huge figure, so if you are not using videos to promote your site now, you are definietly missing out the "big" boat!

But what  kind of videos that you "could create, upload and share"? you asked. According to my observations, both funny videos and educational how-to videos are mostly viewed ones.
Thus if you are selling something online, I will suggest you to creat a how-to video about your products and show you viewers on how this amazing products can improve their or their families lifes better will do the trick. If  you have something funny recorded during your last vacation, then share it on YouTube and other blog readers so  that they might link it one day and you defineily vsn hry more traffioc.

When creating vidoes, be creative. Once you have made your video, and share it on YouTube, Myspace, DailyMotion, Google and Yahoo videos etc and will definitely be amazed on results that you'll get.

Strategy  #4: Create an Interest group that relates to your site in Social Networking sites
then invite like mined people to join your group!

Another big traffic secret lies in the use of social networking sites. If you look at the Alexa's statistic, (an internet traffic measuring company), the top 10 most visited websites in the world are Facebook, Myspace, MyBlogLog that kind of social networking sites. Thus by creating an interest group that relates to your website topics in those websites, you can: 1.) add all your sites links in that group
2.) invites like minded to join your group and participate discussions, contest, educations, share funny stories, useful articles,  and so on and so forth. That way you are definitely getting more exposure to your websites hence more websites hits and traffic!

Start implementing these strategies that we talked today and you will be surprised on how much traffic you will be able to get without complicated search engine  optimization techniques and expensive pay-per-clicks advertising.
